Default States ridden map and reality

Last year I expanded my 'States Ridden' map to the east from New Mexico. This year I expanded it north and a little west to include several more states including Alaska. I swore I was done with 'long rides' after this year but.....I was looking at my map and realized that I should add Arizona to the map as it is a relatively short ride from where I am. Of course once in AZ, I could easily add CA and NV. It would be a little farther to add OR and MT but why not?

I still need to add HI to my two wheel states and my wife and I are planning a trip there next spring. Maybe I'll just rent a Spyder and scare two birds with one scone (no sense killing them.)

Time will tell (not getting any younger, want to do HI before I turn 78!)

And since this thread is actually about rides, a few photos from my June '22 ride to Alaska (no photos in AK itself; this was my fourth time and all ready had plenty of them...)

005.jpg 'trick' photo of my buddy on his Golding behind me.

011.jpg An overlook on the Iceland's Parkway, fifth bike I've ridden here.

028.jpg The Sign Forest in Watson Lake, Yukon. To the right of the Spyder on a sign post is a MC license plate I nailed up in 2014 (I48-U4B Texas)

036.jpg Roger Miller sang "You can't roller skate in a buffalo (bison) herd" and he was right. This herd was on the Alaskan Highway somewhere in BC.

Did a cross Canada trip, some 16500 Kms this past June/July/August. My friend sent me a link to a great ride around the US for our next epic trip. Here's the link:https://flytrippers.com/perfect-itin...tates-at-once/. Seems like a very nice ride, and as you mention, not getting any younger. Get out there before the health dictates what you do.

Good to hear from you! We met at a gas stop in the Yukon on our way up to Dawson City and the Top of the World Highway. Met up again for dinner in Tok.

keep on riding and knocking off those states. I have 49/50 states and working on HI. the last one to go. Have all of Canada but Nunavut and Labrador. Got my eye on the Lab. Nunavut has no roads to it.
