I've happily owned Shad top-cases for years, with no complaints about them at all. I noticed the key design of the Shad side cases for my F3-S was quite different, but I never expected it to prove so weak. I've only used the saddlebags for about 4 months.

I'm immensely lucky the key didn't snap in the cylinder. And that I have another copy of the key at home.

Now to see whether Shad can supply me a new one of these based on the numeric code.
