Amazon - anyone else seeing delivery slowing down?

Anyone else seeing their order delivery really slowing down ? Am a prime member.

Prime member here and have never waited more than 3 days for my package. Most times it's 2 days. Delivery times may have to do with the proximity to the regiona Amazonm warehouse.

...I would agree with you. The last couple of items were two weeks late. Nothing was done or said.
Covid-19 issues again. The weather is really messed up. ......

Slow down noted. I have a couple items on order from two weeks ago. Board said they were in stock. Showing today as not shipped yet. Usually, I have items within a week or less. And...I am NOT a member of prime. Can always get items shipped for free if you check off the box. Pay no attention to the week or more shipping time. Most of mine arrive in "prime" packaging in a couple days from order.

Mine has been an absolute MESS! Prime member and so far they are batting about 20% at getting things here in 2 days.... I have gotten tired of calling them on it... I literally don't have the energy anymore!_Facepalm.jpg

I am not a prime member on Amazon, I get my Amazon orders less then a week( example, I'll place an order, they say delivery date is Aug. 13th and I'll get the order a week prior to the delivery date).


I had bought an item from Amazon, 4 months ago, they sent me something completely different then what I had ordered, inside the box they had a different name,and address.


I had to ship it back to Amazon, at the time I was not a happy camper!

They say free 2-day delivery, and they still provide that. But, what they mean is from when it is shipped, and that varies all over the place, so have to check 'expected delivery date'.

Not really any changes that I can tell. I order quite a bit of stuff too. It really does depend on where they are stocking the items vs. where you live. Common items are usually at all the warehouses, but less common or items from other vendors that sell through Amazon are a crap shoot. Your best bet is to keep an eye on the expected delivery date when you click on the order button. Another factor is who is shipping it. Usually through Amazons' own trucks is pretty consistent, UPS will be longer, USPS is a total crapshoot.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered some cans of Rustoleum bedliner spray paint to cover a boat trailer I was working on. Sold by one of their vendors. They shipped them USPS. About 6 or 7 days in, I still hadn't gotten the package and the tracking info hadnt been updated in several days. Got online with customer service via chat and they agreed the package was probably lost and issued a refund. Then about a week later, a box shows up in the mail and guess what it is, right after I bought a can locally. Not Amazon's fault.

In the past few months Amazon deliveries have been frequently longer than 2-3 days. Some have taken more than 2 weeks but average 5-7 days lately. I have Prime but that only seems to help with free shipping - no speed advantage.

This is on items that show it will be here in the 2 day Prime ETA with an actual date showing 2 days out! Then when it reaches that 2 day date, I get emails stating it has been delayed... I'm a veteran of these wars and know to look for all that "surprise" info....
