Default Searching for seals/flat ring on rear brake caliper piston - RT 2010

    Hi,

I'm looking for the 2 flat seals for the ring on the rear brake caliper piston.

BRP does not have the part number and they ask $700 for the full kit caliper, pins, sleeve. .... I only need the 2 seals.

Anyone found a replacement part that could fit.

IIRC, the rear brake caliper on the early Spyders (and possibly current) were the same as the Ural motorcycle sidecar version, so you could take a poke around and see if that helps.

A year or two ago someone on here posted a source they found for brake caliber and master cylinder parts...I remember reading it but I didn't save it...It may have been just the Brembo brakes??? Maybe you can search it out or someone may step up...GOOD LUCK...larryd

I would try a firm called Brakecrafters. They are on-line and know brakes and seal kits/pistons. They have supplying parts for our race bikes for years and have a good stock of bits and get stuff out the door in a hurry.

To the OP and others, the early Spyder brakes were not made by Brembo. Both front and rear were Chinese made units. The fronts were rough copies of the Brembo brake, but the rear was and remains a non-Brembo unit. Whether or not Brembo parts fit or not, I don't know. I do know the current brake calipers appear to be the same as on BMW motorcycles and some other Euro brands with the front pads being interchangeable.
