2022 RTL - does it need a different Trailer Hitch to 2020/21??
Looking for a definitive answer as to whether or not the 2022 RTL requires a different BRP trailer hitch than the 2020 & 2021. If not, does the 2022 hitch require a different part within the whole ensemble compared to the 2020/21? Has anyone had a BRP trailer hitch put on their 2022 RTL?

My dealer spoke with BRP and we’re told that we need to change the axle of the '22 to one of the '20/'21, so the inside diameter will allow the hitch bolt to fit. On order…

Reason: axel - axle ;-)

Good info to have. When I picked up my S2S, the dealer installed the wiring harness and some parts of the hitch. Of course I paid for the hitch and install, still waiting for the part to complete the hitch install..... I go in for the 3,000 mile service on Wednesday. I'll be pushing for an update.

I am going thru this same problem. Pre-ordered the RT back Sept 21 and waited 7 months for delivery.
All of the parts have been bought from dealers across the country, and there are only a couple used rear axles that can be found.
BRP definately dropped the ball on this for the 22. They themselves do not offer a tow hitch for the 22 line-up of RT and F3 , and there is not an aftermarket tow hitch available either. Shouldnt have to revert to an older years part to be able to fully use the functionality of the 28k machine I bought.

i installed the Show Chrome hitch for the 2020 and 2021 with no problems. See my previous post. The OEM Spyder axle p/ns are the same for all 2020,2021 and 2022 RTs. I think the problem was the axle thru bolts on the OEM 2022 kits were too large of a diameter from a new supplier. Bushings come with the kit to position and hold the axle thru bolt correctly .
