Many do earbuds under helmet - both wireless and wired. If you run an intercom you can plug in directly. Or go wireless w/Bluetooth to use your media player, GPS or phone. Ideally, you should look for noise cancelling wireless.

I use AirPod Pro's w/, or w/o, my helmet; a little difficult to don the helmet w/ them in but worth it on long rides. The "Pros" are noise cancelling, so I don't have to hear anything if I don't want to, but can switch the cancelling off and hear all that goes on around me plus my music.
2020 Spyder RT Limited; Deep Marsala/Chrome
Formosa AZ01 165/50/R16's on PPA Recluse wheels up front
General Altimax RT43 215/60/R15 on factory rear
Primary exhaust: RLS Cat delete w/ his baffle; secondary, custom built w/ Flowmaster HS2
Suspension: BajaRon swaybar (highly recommended!), M2 coil-overs, front & rear (also highly recomended!)
Extra LED lighting and misc. to suit my needs/wants
