    Default Let's talk cups

What is everyone using for a cup while out riding?

I don't want to use a Camelbak or any other type of backpack style.
    I'm looking for a cup.

I recently purchased a Ram mount cup holder for the Spyder, I just need a cup to put in it. (20-32 ounces)

I realize when riding in 100-degree heat that no matter what cup I choose, the ice won't last for the entirety of the ride.
Are there any cups that folks are using that the ice will last more than an hour? perhaps 2-3?

    Whatcha got?

Here's the one I use. They are of excellent quality and have a flip up top with straw which is essential. Fits perfectly in the drink holder LaMonster sells. I can't remember the brand. I tried 2 different 32 oz. versions and they were too big (in my opinion).

I have quite a few Hydro Flasks in 24oz size (and the knock off versions as well. The Stainless Steel does amazing keeping things cold. That said, my new favorite go to cup right now is the Owola in 24oz - found here:

This is what I use. It’s classy, easy to use, and keeps drinks cold. I’ve had ice last a whole day, even during some wicked hot rides.

    It’s expensive, but worth it.

Have several 18 oz TAL brand from wallyworld. Rinse one with hot water then fill with fresh coffee, good for several hours. Couple of others will get filled about half way with water and stuck topless in the freezer the night before. Topped off before leaving and one will go in a holder and the other packed upright. Good for many hours of cool water, even refiling with ice left.

I have a double wall stainless from Cabelas. I completely covered the top with insulation and reflective furnace tape. Then drilled a hole for a tight fitting plastic camel-back type straw with a bite mouth piece. The "straw" also has a flexible insulating cover. I can pick my cup up and sip or just bend over (with my face shield up) and take a drink. I fill the cup with big ice cubes and then add water. I will have cold water all day long even in the Arizona desert heat..... Jim

I use a Butler Mug and mount. I had it leftover from a previous Goldwing and was very happy with it then, I only needed to buy a Spyder mount and I was in business.

I use this Igloo 24oz sipper cup ,fits great in my cup holder on the handlebars. Easy one hand use while ryding. Holds ice all day while ryding in the heat.

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate the input.

I have ordered the Iron Flask suggested by FrogmanDave
