Default Why does my Display switch from light to dark all on its own?

    Hi All,
I've had my 2021 RTL for just over a week and am loving it! Question: can anyone tell me why my display switches back and forth from white to dark all on it's own while I'm diving down the road?

Yes, it's auto adjusting. You can set it to be solid as a dark lit or white.

At least yours works. Mine set on auto day/night will switch to one (can't remember which) and never switches back. Actual auto operation would be nice!

There was a recent software update to fix random/not switching correctly with the day/night sensor. Check to see if you have the 50.1 dash firmware. You can display it from your settings menu if memory serves me right.

    To change the display settings:

    Home>Settings (Gear icon)>Display>Mode

Looks like I have 40.8 in my 2021 RTL. Wonder what it takes to get it updated?

Call your dealer, they should do it under warrantee. There is also a ECM update for the 21 to fix a starting issues so make sure they do both.

Scheduled in for July 14th. They said they will do it while I wait. Anyone know what else the 50.1 software addresses? BTW, I have no starting problems.
