Oil emitting from left side air intake
I just returned from a wonderful ride yesterday. As I look over the Ryker post ride I noticed some oil on the left front plastic under the air cleaner pod. I removed the two covers and found some oil in the air cleaner plenum and dripping from the intake. The air filter is clean.
My oil has been changed once and it seems be at an average level.
Any suggestions? Am I in big trouble?
Thank you

I'm not very knowledgeable on the combustible engine, but that doesn't sound good to me...

Real common to get the oil level wrong. Fire it up, roll maybe 10 miles, let it idle while you pop open the cleaner to get access, then check the dipstick immediately.
Be interesting to see what you find ... nudge nudge ...

On it. Thank you. So it is a sign of too much oil I assume.

Check oil level if it is ok or over full I would be going back to dealership and have them look it over, your still under warranty. Right?

Check around your oil filter canister. Maybe the seal ring on the lid got pinched. Also someone, on this forum can't remember who, had to have the canister lid replaced.

thank you for the tips. I purchased it used-no warranty . I will check the oil in an organized fashion as suggested. Ride then turn it off and quickly check the level. Lots of rules on these new fashioned vehicles.
Thank you all again

It turns out that I did not appreciate the delicate dance needed to check the oil. It is too full.
Thank you to everyone for the advice.

Make sure to tell your dealer that you didn't appreciate the delicate dance. They should know better. People are paying them to do the job correctly.
