Default Eco Mode - Not sure it makes any difference? Considering running just Eco - thoughts?

Perhaps this has been discussed ad nauseum, not sure.....

I run eco off around town and short trips, eco on for interstate. Not sure it makes any difference. I've considered just running eco mode and forget about it. Any thoughts?

Yeah .. There are some threads about it. That said, I use it on the interstate and in the rain.

Type 'Eco Mode' into the Search Field up in the top right of the screen, click the 'Search Titles Only' box, hit enter & read away, there's a LOT of info already here on it - well worth taking some time reading!

There is a lot of previous "advice" on this subject.

    Bottom line facts:
    Most do not use it

    Actual gas savings...about 1 - 2 miles per gallon

Main complaint...very distracting having to look for the "shift" light.

Running your machine in sixth at about 60 will keep your rpm's at around 3500. This is the most economical range, if you are not in a hurry. We do this and get mpg's consistent high 30's/low 40's.

Patience is a virtue, and in this instance will save you money in the long run. If you lack patience I recommend you not use ECO. Spoken by a person who has stage 2 for when patience runs thin.
