Saddle bag won't open
2015 RTL. Having trouble opening the saddle bag even while pushing in. Is there an emergency way to open a saddle bag?

I have a 14 and had the same issue .... You can see all the parts involved @ can am oem parts.com .... look for the Fiche' " Luggages " the pic is in the upper middle of the fiche Part # 135, is has the adjustment cable attached .... starting under the trunk lid that panel had to come off .... it's tricky to get off ..... Maybe someone has an easier way ..... good luck .... Mike

Pushing in? When mine is cantankerous, I hold the release lever all the way out while giving the side of the bag a sharp rap with the palm & heel of my other hand, all the way up high where the latches are. Then, when finally open, lubricate the latches.

There are a bunch of threads on this forum dedicated to adding an emergency pull cable to your saddlebag, frunk, or whatever. Search it. Heck you can even use heavy duty string of some sort. Of course you have to get it open in the first place but once you do and add the cable, you won't ever have to worry about it again.

Fair enough. Apologies for the misinformation.

There is a way:
Open trunk, and saddlebag that will open. The two screws that hold the rear panel are hidden by the saddlebag lid. Remove them, and the 4 across the top of the trunk. The rear panel is now held by the saddlebag that is stuck. Gently bend the panel on the open saddlebag side until it is clear. You will see 2 cable adjusters. On the stuck side, loosen the jam nut, turn the tightening nut to take out the slack. Pull lever, open saddlebag. Remove the two screws under the bag lid, remove the panel, finish a proper cable adjustment, tighten the lock nut. Put back together. Call if you get stuck. Joe
