Anyone know what this VSS limp mode issue is?
On a trip right now and our 2020 Spyder is saying there is a VSS limp mode issue. Anyone know what this is?

More knowledgeable folks can fill in any gaps I state here.
Vehicle Stability System (nanny) not happy with something. Could be any of the wheel sensors. Turn it off and re-start to see if it clears. I had similar problem this week on a trip up north. 3 times within 2 hours. Cleared by re-starts. I cleaned the brake switch at home and seems ok now. Check that your brake light switch isn't sticking. That solved the issue last summer when same thing happened.

VSS = Vehicle Stability System
As Ray said. Most typical is sticky brake light switch, or accidentally having your foot on the brake pedal when not actually braking. Easy to do when covering the brake pedal in heavy traffic. If your cruise control mysteriously keeps kicking off, then it’s probably related to the brake pedal and brake light switch activation. Once you shut the machine off for a few and restart it, the limp mode should clear, until it gets triggered again.

IF your Spyder isn't being Speed RESTRICTED, it could be an anomaly, and should be attended to. If it is Speed Restricted a dealer will put it on BUDS and better identify the cause .... good luck .... Mike
