Help. Ryker Rally rear shock bolt removal problems

Ok looking for anyone who remove rear shock and had issues with the 16mm "gold" bolt that holds the pivot arm. I'm trying to remove rear shock , and have it down to this one bolt. Tried wrenching it with breaker , 1/2 inch impact so far won't budge. I'm soaking it now with "liquid wrench" and gave a few whacks with small hand sledge to help.

I'll go back in a few hrs and try again, but wondering short of heating it if any one had and solved this problem.

Try a 36" piece of pipe on the end of the breaker bar.

You have discovered a well known fact about how much Lok-Tite BRP uses, ..... try heating with a soldering Iron... and use a longer bar ..... good luck .... Mike

Try a 36" piece of pipe on the end of the breaker bar.

I'm a strong believer in using leverage issue in this case is space, with ryker on jackstands most I have is about 24inches for a short space. I have put max bar I could fit but applying arm to that is hard,but I'll keep trying that.

Yep pulling the other bolt, nut off I saw half inch of what ever yellow glue they had so liberally put on. I'll try and post a picture, but doubt any soldering iron will heat the bolt from one end to the other. But I'll look at some online and see what I can find.

4 bolts to remove shock, of course I get 1 with a problem.

So we start with the problem bolt

then we use propane and impact wrench

That is not rust thats half inch of thread locker! Took way more heat than you would guess, but it's really in a big heat sink.

Now have to get the shock out, and Elka in, fun never stops on installs.

Yes that aluminum foil, and red spray can is fire extinguisher ATGATT means safe!

So with work and mothers day just got back to this.
last item if you do this switch, loosen the spring pretension screws all the way. I could not get old shock out, until I did that, but after loosening it slid right out.

Need to bolt the Elka in, but it's sitting where it needs to go now.
