Where to purchase Kenda Kanine rear tire?

Long time since I've been on here.
I'm trying to order a Kenda Canine rear tire for my 2018 RTL but it seems to be backordered everywhere I look.
Dose anyone have a source where I may purchase one?

Well this interesting .... Kenda tires for Spyders are ONLY sold through the Dealer network ( this was confirmed by a member here who has a tire dealership and KENDA wouldn't sell Him Spyder tires ) ..... So this makes me think the Kanine's arn't CERTIFIED by BRP for Spyder use .......... Does anyone here who owns the Kanine's know if " FOR SPECIAL MTC. USE ONLY " IS EMBOSSED ON THE SIDEWALL like the regular Kenda Spyder tires are ????? ..... thinks .... Mike

That is the same question that was on my mind. Why stress onself out trying to find a crap tire, when there are a number of readily available honest-to-gosh very good car tires out there for about the same money. And there are dealers out there - and I think more are starting to - that will install them. Maybe try doing a search for dealers within, say 100-150- miles from you, call each one, and you might get lucky.

Lou did look it up, They are 4 ply not the crap 2 ply of stock and they also state that it is the ONLY aftermarket tire approved by Can Am....What did you look up?

I checked the specs for the " Kanine tire " right after it was introduced. .... It didn't have " 4 " plys at that time, the specs were the same as the Reg. Kenda's. So if it has " 4 " plys Now, they changed the carcass specs. ..... Mike

Apparently Kenda tires are distributed in the US by Tucker (tucker.com). Perhaps a call to your local Tucker dealer might help you find, or at least be able to order or transfer, the tires you need.

Tucker has hundreds of dealers U.S. wide so somebody may have the ability to order them from one of the Tucker distribution points. The tucker.com website has a pretty good dealer locator page and I see there's about 5 or 6 Tucker dealers in the greater bay area, so one of them might be able to help.

Or things might be as bad as one could fear and nobody has them.

My Kenda Kanine has it embossed on the sidewall.
'For Special Motorcycle Use Only'. I got the tire last May. I purchased it from the Spyder Dealer and they installed it.
They will not install anything else. .....

...I have looked at My Kenda Kanine and it only shows the tread as 3 ply. The sidewall is only a one
ply. This is a October 2020 made rear tire.

Not sure about all the fuss about this tire. I have one installed on my Spyder because that's the only tire the Dealer would install. I hope this clears up some of the confusion. ....

"fuss about this tire" ??? .... Well Peter and I, and others here too, are well aware that a weakly made tire is more likely to suffer "catastrophic" failure while driving at speed. If this occurs, I don't care that we have Three of them. IMHO bad things are going to happen. It's too bad that your dealer won't accommodate your wishes. ...... good luck ..... Mike

It is now 3-23-2024 and they are still on backorder status. I've been told there is an app 20 day wait and they have to be paid for before they will order one at my dealer. I ordered the rear tire on 3-15-2024 and I was called the other day. It is supposed to be released on 4-1-2024. You would think BRP would have figured it out in a year.

If you're still talking about the Kenda Kanines, BRP doesn't really have anything to do with them; from what I have found out about them, they are a KENDA product that's been produced by Kenda in an attempt to get more sales of those particular type of tires with Spyder Owners, cos so many Owners simply won't use the BRP OEM stuff!!

Apparently, any dealer supplying/fitting Kanines in lieu of the OEM Spec Kendas risks the same sanctions from BRP that they'd risk by fitting any other A/mkt tire!

Has anybody got a recently removed late model tyre. Perhaps they could cut it with a hacksaw or something and have a look at it end on. Then post the images. Easy enough to see just how many plys are there I reckon. 1 ply or a bunch more. I will cut mine when its stuffed but it will be a while. My new to me 2017 F3 came with new tyres and im far too thrifty to chuck them as so far they seem to be doing the job.

Up to a few days ago you had no idea of how many plys may or may not be in the modern up-specked tyre.
Been banging on at every opportunity how crap they were. Possibly true the last time you had any correct information.

They seem to have redesigned them in later times, haven't they??
Some say 1, some say4 , some have said 3 and 1 on the side I have seen lately.

Hence my question.
