Any news on missing components?
Does anyone have any updates on those missing components for the RTL. Do you know when BRP is going to send those components.

They’re doing it for warehouse space—they’re out of space in Quebec so it’s either stop production until missing parts arrive, or use the dealer network to hold bikes so they can keep building more while they await parts. My dealer told me BRP was guaranteeing them the missing parts in 45 days or less. She’s hoping for a bunch of parts because her showroom is now packed and they need to start delivering them to customers or they’ll also be out of space with the next shipment of trikes.

True Dat! . And don't forget that if BRP stops their production line and sends trained personnel home for a while, probably on reduced or even no pay so they'll lose at least some of them... it just adds to their costs, over & above that of the factory/production line sitting idle and not being able to finalise the sale of any of these unfinished machines! And once they've stopped the production line, it also adds to the length of time it'll take to get things back up & running again; train/re-train staff to make sure they (still) know how to do their jobs properly; then play catch up on the back-log of orders while still trying to meet reasonable delivery times for any new orders as well as getting enough surplus product made to get them thru the next winter when they won't be making anything but sleds.... . Far better idea to keep everything they can still running & so pumping out Spyders, even if they do then hafta send them out to dealers to avoid filling their holding yards with not quite finished product that they are going to hafta complete & then get out to the various dealers eventually! . Far better move to send them out to the dealers & let them carry the holding costs!
It's a pretty smart move really - it passes the storage/holding costs over to the dealer AND it keeps the production line running, albeit producing Spyders that may need a few easily fitted components sitting for a while waiting for those in dealer's yards. I'd question BRP intending there actually being any getting sent out to their buyers that aren't safely rideable, but who knows what some unscrupulous dealers might do?!? Still, any dealer that sends product out to buyers unfinished could well end up finding it costing them significantly, especially if anything occurs that can be sheeted home to the Spyder being un-finished, so maybe the dealers aren't all that silly?!? Or are they?? Anyone actually received an unfinished Spyder, or are they all still stacked up at the dealers??

Maybe they could take the unfinished spyders and make 3 sale able ones.

Seems like BRP is holding something over the dealer's heads, or the dealers have a possible benefit in this somewhere. Anyway, nobody rides for free in the business world these days. Not sure I like this post but I did learn some interesting information.

BRP is not the only one doing this, Ford is now shipping without parts and stating it could be up to a year before they get them. And don't expect it to go away anytime soon. It could be up until 2025 before the supply is back to "normal".

The dealers want the bikes. They have buyers raising hell with them over product. That allows them to actually sell a few seven thought they can't deliver them yet. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
