Trailer tongue looks low
Just wondering if anyone has done anything to raise the trailer tongue just a couple of inches so it will set more level on the Spyder.
They make a 1-7/8 ball with a 2" rise but it has a 1" shaft. There's nothing with the 3/4" that I can find.
Has anyone maybe drilled out the hole in the hitch to accommodate the 1" shaft? Any disadvantages?
No more weight than it will be pulling I think it should work.
Pro's and con's of doing so?

What type of trailer do you have? I ask because my 622 sits pretty level with the factory Brp hitch with no modifications.

The curved tongue is also deceiving on the 622.

Un less your TONGUE is at a 45 degree angle ...it will be fine .... Mike

You should be good just as you are. My father-in-law built custom trailers. He told me the tongue should always be level or a bit lower, never above level. Adjust your tongue height to your loaded trailer. Safety first always.

Check out this link to a 2" hitch ball spacer for the receiver on your Spyder. This will raise the front of your trailer 2".

I'll post a pic later today to show what I'm talking about.
Honestly, I may be looking at the tongue more than I am the trailer itself.
Partzman, something like that is what I was looking for but with shipping it is a little over $40.00, the raised ball I was looking at is only $24.00 shipping included.

Raising the air bag has nothing to do with the hitch ball height, it will only raise the body of the bike. The hitch is mounted to the axle frame/swing arm and does not move with the body.
Besides I have 55 psi in the air bag.

After going out and looking again on level ground I guess I'm more concerned about the front of the trailer being so low to the ground. The trailer tongue does look quite level.
I also took some pics. Honestly in the pics it does not look that bad, other than all the junk in the background.
Maybe my old eyes are just messing with me.

I guess we can move along to the next issue which is, I need new seals for the doors on the trailer. I washed it and found water inside, both the front and rear seals need replacing. Any suggestions on where they might be found aftermarket? D seals at the parts store maybe?

Never mind, I see that some of the vendors has the seals. Problem solved.
