Default Anyone have an Extended Warranty? Recommend a company?

    Morning All,
I'm curious does anyone have an extended warranty for their can am. I'm asking cause I have a 2018 Spyder RTL, I bought it from a private seller good deal extremely low low low mileage, it rides fabulously but because I'm new to the three-wheel family I'm sure the original warranty is out so can anyone recommend a good company that does extended warranty for these particular bike. Disclaimer stateside recommendation Please & Much Appreciative, no shade intended just asking for good honest recommendation without all the jokes.

    Respectfully,
    cdenise904

Your local dealer may be able to help with an extended warranty. If your RTL is out of BRP (Cam Am) warranty, you will need a 3rd party contract because the BRP B.E.S.T. extended warranty must be initiated while OEM warranty is still active.

Don't assume the original warranty has expired. It's 24 months with unlimited mileage. Over the years, many people have bought one and two year old Spyders that were new in the box. The first thing you need to do is find out if there's any warranty left. You can do that by contacting BRP and have your VIN with you. If there's even one day left, contact Dave at Seirra Cycles in Arizona and he'll sell you a 36 month BRP, BEST extended warranty for $671.00. If your original warranty has expired, then, I can't help you.

If the original factory warranty has expired and I were in your boots, I wouldn't waste my shekels on a third party warranty but would rathole money every month to cover potential expenses. If the Spyder's mileage is very low and has been properly maintained your chance of major problem(s) is also low.

    with JayBros above.

The BRP Best warranty is the "best" one to have. That can only be purchased before the original warranty expires.

Other aftermarket warranties are a "crapshoot" at best. The idea of "ratholing" so much a month is a good idea, if you cannot pay a large repair bill without going into debt. The good side, we are NOT hearing of many major repairs needed these days. If you keep up the maintenance, you can catch small things before they become big ones.

My previous five Spyders, never needed major repairs. I got a "free" BEST warranty with the purchase of my 2014. I never had to use it. I put over 45,000 miles on it from 2014 through 2021 and then traded off on a new 2020 F3L. I have also chosen not to buy the additional warranty on either of my F3's.

Not exactly correct according to the FAQ on this BRP web page. https://can-am.brp.com/off-road/us/e...-warranty.html

You can purchase or extend your B.E.S.T. protection at any time if your BRP vehicle is still under the manufacturer’s limited warranty or a current B.E.S.T. contract.

I read this as saying you can buy multiple one-year contracts if you want. Of course that would be a needless waste of $$ to do it that way!
