Default How can I make my 2015 f3s more visible from the back?

Friends, I would like to add extra rear lighting to my F3s, I want to be more visible. It seems to me that the rear tail lighting is not very noticeable, what are you guys doing? Pictures would help. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts.

    This looks interesting from SlingMods.com

    https://www.slingmods.com/canam-spyd...cled?vehicle=1

Combine that with the LED side reflectors, which can also be seen from behind, and you'll be hard to miss on the road at night.

I haven't even received my 2022 RTL yet and have already purchased a bunch of lighting mods.

Before I removed my OEM fender and installed the chopped fender, I put these lights on my OEM fender tubing. Lights were cheap, being less than $10 on ebay. I tapped them into the license plate lamp.

Not on your bike but your helmet. I think it's motorcycle Dave that has a helmet device that lights up when you apply your brakes. The advantage is now your brake lights are at about eye level for a person driving a cage.

When I inquired about adding fender lights to my '14 RT-L a while back, someone recommended Oznium LEDs. I took that advice and ran with it. If I've done this right, here is the final post from that project where I added some LEDs to the back for better conspicuity.

I also add lights to all of my bikes. Here should be where I did that to my most recent two-wheeled acquisition using some 1200 lumen LEDs where I fabricated red lenses for the tail-lights and some flashing LEDs for brake lights.

HI-VIS reflective jacket and a white helmet help greatly with visibility.

I replaced the brake/taillight bulbs with brighter LED’s and added Spyderpops LED strips to the rear. Now when I apply the brake the Spyderpops LED’s flash 4 times and then go solid red.

This is also very good advice. Not long after seeing a friend of mine's hi-vis yellow/green helmet from at least 6 blocks away, I made the decision my next helmet would be that color. When it came time for my next helmet, I stuck with that decision about two years later. During the interim, I added the hi-vis color along with red reflective tape to my older Nolan. Bright helmets are very noticeable from long distances. Here are my old one with the reflective tape and my new one.

I wanted to be as visible as possible. I added a bunch of lights all around. The rear ones are tied to the brake light. I got them from slingmods. As a previous poster posted, they have sets for F3s too.

Default With luggage and Admore lighting

If you're using luggage, here is my Shad side case and Givi V46 topcase setup on my F3S demonstrating with the emergency lights active. Brake lights for the Admore cases have a blinking option. All come on with the brakes active. Note the angled LED strips on the top case were not part of the Admore kit. I added strips from Superbright, added mainly to create a turn "arrow"..

I don't have much faith in extra lighting down low on the swingarm area. I want the lights to be as directly in the driver's face behind me, as possible. Not that most cagers are't attentive enough to be scanning what's around them (riiight..)...

If you don't have luggage, a hi-vis helmet and jacket, plus attaching a helmet Brake Free device (brakefreetech.com) would be the best solution, in my opinion, to wake up the driver behind. Too bad we can't wire in a rear facing airhorn..

"Too bad we can't wire in a rear facing airhorn.." What's stopping you. I'm thinking there might be room for a Stebel or WoLo on the inner surface of the saddlebags. hmmmm, may have to look into doing just that.

It looks like the goggle link is to a private album that requires you to log in to goggle & be accepted by the owner before you can see it....

Mik, if you have the pics on your computer or phone, click on 'Reply to Thread' down on the left below the last post in the thread, & once it opens scroll down past the text entry field until you get to Manage Attachments, then load the pics either direct from your device or via the url which is a bit further down. It helps them orient correctly here if you've taken the pics in Landscape mode by dropping the top of your phone/tablet/camera to the Left, ie anti-clockwise, cos the Forum platform uses the Top Left corner of any pic as it's default anchor point & is not something easily changed.

Good Luck. PM if you have issues.

Looks like I wasn't clear the link was to a video, not a photo. When I posted, I was afraid Google Photos wouldn't allow sharing with "anyone with the link".
I tried to upload via Manage Attachments, but file was too big, even for a 2 second MP4 reduced to "Computer Size" via Movie Maker, plus saw no option for video files. The upload feature treated either mp4 or wmv as illegal. Then I moved the file to Google Drive, which I've used in the past to share with anyone with the link, so hopefully this link should work...
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xUm...ew?usp=sharing
If there is a way to upload a vid like this, similar to a pic file upload, I'd appreciate any further advice.

TricLed.com has nice LED strips that sit in the seams of saddle bags, but the biggest change was adding the American Flag (4"x6"). Can order the mounting bracket that goes under the licence plate. Big, bright and 'Murican!!!

I may be dreaming. But, I hope to get a Spyder or Ryker, soon.

Just read through "Do-s-and-Do-Nots-for-new-Spyder-owners" and the following posts. Lots of good/helpful info.
Lots of other forums could go to school on this.
