Western Demo Tour

Weather looking great, sunny and bright! We will be at Ride now Peoria, AZ. 24-26 March. Thursday afternoon to Saturday afternoon. Had a great time last year, hope to see everyone again, and make some new friends! Yesterday, I got to diagnose an electrical issue. We do love solving problems, and riding more!!

Pretty cool day. Had instructors come out to ride. Many never get to ride on the street, just the training range. It was a new experience for them. We take it for granted that everyone owns and operates a Spyder……..I guess we are lucky! Come on out! We have a great ride lined up. Hope to see you! Another cool thing today: a guy we rode to Alaska with in 2015 stopped by! Great to see you, George!!

Just curious--what's the point of these events? Normally, it's to get people excited so they buy a Spyder. But there's not a dealer anywhere that has a Spyder to sell. Can-am is months behind on deliveries for people who put down money. At this point, will dealers even take a down payment on a 2022 or if someone puts money down today will they be in line for a 2023?

Sorry--just venting. Sounds like you're having a good time on this tour.

Tell me about it. I used to be able to fill my Ryker for like twelve bucks. Yesterday it cost me twenty three dollars to pump five gallons into my Spyder. But she was a little thirsty, so at least that quenched her.

The point is to let people ride one. The new reality is if you want one, order it. Is the global supply chain jacked up? Yes. For everything. Many won’t buy unless they can ride one. To address that, we are doing just that. The old idea of seeing one on the floor, and buying it, is a memory. We waited over 3 months for our new one. If you want one, ride one on the tour, and order it. Still taking orders for 2022 models. Many dealers have their allotment earmarked for a customer. The order process has nothing to do with that. So, order one! They will come in. Everything is different now. Demand is huge, supply is low. It is hard to be patient, I know! We have dealers with none! The fact that this tour is going is BRP gets it. Come ride!

The tour is stopping at the dealership where I ordered mine a few months ago. Now if Can-Am would stop delaying the delivery dates. Mine went from March, to April, to May. I know one lady who ordered from the same dealership and was told it may shift to June, now. Yeah--being patient is hard (especially since I sold my Ryker because the March date didn't shift until a week before it was supposed to ship). Glad all y'all are having fun!

Go ride; it helps the patience! The entire supply chain is whacked - not just at BRP! We have been at dealerships that have motorcycles, 4x4’s, ATV,UTV, boats…..and none complete for sale! Ann’s Brother is a boat dealer. Has hundreds of boats. No motors! I was in a BMW dealer. No audio, NAV, display. Can’t sell them without a speedo, which is on the display! The Dealer we are at now has ZERO Spyders. They had to borrow 2 units for us! We saw one, got excited, then saw the sold sign on it! It is terrible, and I hate it. Phoenix is building a massive chip manufacturing facility. Claimed to be the world’s largest, when completed. I hope so!!

Hello Joe and Ann, had a great ride with you on Friday! The Ryker was fun, great acceleration! Took long way back through Flagstaff to Western New Mexico, home about 11pm. Enjoy your future rides!

Joe, the alignment was really just a check, they made no adjustments! Tech pulled front tires, checked brakes and rotors and alignment, found no issues! Unlike you, I had to pay the fee, but piece of mind is worth a lot to me. Bike ran great on the way home. Will see you again, safe riding.
