Well, saw some stations going around and making the modifications to the pumps so they can accept prices above $9.99/gal. Summer should be fun.

Around Olympia, WA we are now seeing $4.59 to $4,84 (mom and pop store in small town) to $5.50 (Cheveron) all for regular gallon.
And it keeps going up almost daily at various stations. Kinda like a game to see which one can reach $6.00 or higher first !
And NO (zero) officials are even considering that maybe it is price fixing.

Toledo Ohio USA at Costco Discount Store $4.32 for regular, $4.49 at other stations. I've basically parked my 20 mpg Mustang in garage for "the duration of the war" and ride the 30 mpg (In town) 2020 Spyder RT LTD Chrome, everywhere! I can fit groceries in the 2 trunks and 2 saddlebags.
Since I'm 70 and on Socialist Insecurity, if the gas keeps going up, it will seriously cut into Wind Therapy needs.

Couple weeks ago, the wife and I travelled from South Florida to Maine. We drove the 99 Ford van with the 5.4 litre engine, so yes we did burn a few gallons of gasoline. Certainly not disappointed in the van, since even with 280,000 miles, she still gets very close to Fords published mpg listed for when new.
What is disappointing was seeing the huge variance in gasoline prices. Some states charging nearly $1.00 more per gallon of regular gasoline than other states.
Living in South Florida, we very seldom run heat in the winter, and when we do, the heat is electric. As for folks living in the colder regions that use oil fired furnaces, all the best, as I suspect these increased fuel prices for gasoline in some Northern states my be an indicator of an expensive winter.
For a range of fuel costs for gasoline on the trip. It ranged from a low of $3.09, to a high of $3.99. There was a couple of gas stations where I drove in, saw the price above $4.00 per gallon and drove to a less expensive place for fuel. We also planned accordingly to pas through states with high gasoline prices, and fueled up in adjacent states with lower gasoline prices.

Fuel oil ..... got some serious sticker shock last month ..... I have a 1000 gal tank and only have to fill it once a year ... I've used only one dealer for the past 20 years so I get a very good rate .... last year I paid 2.47 per gal .... this year it was $ 4.02 for 700 gals. ( avg. yearly amount ). I think it's going to be a very cold winter for some folks especially those who Rely on SS ...... JMHO .... Mike

Hopefully not. Last thing I want to see in the news is about folks on SS freezing to death not able to afford heating fuel.

You just think gas is a problem. Look up the news on diesel supply. There is approximately 25 days of diesel left in the country at this time. Guess what stops when the diesel is all gone............

Fuel prices have come down about 30 cents a gallon, for regular, 4.99 to 4.69 in the last couple of weeks. I do expect prices to climb back up soon. The diesel shortage will affect everything. There is not one thing we use or buy I can think of that does not get to us by (diesel) truck. The cost of everything will be increasing..... Jim

Isn’t diesel fuel and home heating oil very similar? If so, this news of diesel supplies running out could be very bad for folks that require the fuel to survive winter.

Seeing these gasoline prices, and reading what Mike posted about his home heating oil cost this year was eye opening and is very expensive.
