Yes, the first few years of production were a concern, then the higher bolt torque seemed to virtually eliminate it until the triple cyl donk hit the road. Memory of history is hit & miss or too short. The evidence is in the TSB - which was generated (the very same month I joined this forum) after 2 years of too many failures.
) and have used lower tension on my other two spyders with great success .... My 14 RT at 66,000 + mi. has shown no red dust.....
