Spyder Got her done - installed BajaRon bar plus foam grips & risers

What the factory didn't give me Bajaron (via lamonster) did, a nice riding machine. Install time was about 3 hours from jacking it up to setting her back down on the ground. Riding in the twisty's is no longer a problem. Shame on can am for making such a crappy sway bar. Installed foam grips and bar riser already all good stuff Maynard. Things are looking good here. Now to find some more trouble to get into...

If there was any "First" mod to do I would say this is the one.

It's well worth the price which isn't that much and gives you one hell of a noticeable difference on your ride.

Luv mine. Getting me some Quatracs next once it warms up.

I have the BajaRon sway bar parts for both my 2021 RT and my wife's 2020 Ryker. I have to wait until spring because it's way too cold in my garage (plus no room) to install them now. Can't wait though.

I've read where you need at least a 24" rise on the Spyder in order to slide the old bar out. Any confirmation on that?

As EdMat says above, 24” is required, Greg. Some have been innovative and have positioned the Spyder above a manhole of some kind when it comes time to drop the bar and insert the new one. Or they have driven the Spyder up tall ramps attached to the back of their pickup, etc etc……. It is so frustrating getting it all undone and finding you have only raised the Spyder 22”. Don’t ask me how I know

Pic of when I installed my Swaybar, I removed the tailgate so the ramps would have a firm grip on the linex in the bed.

It was raining that day thus the position in the garage rather than outside.

I bought a lift, but it only goes up to 17" so I'll make a platform for it to get at least a 24" clearance.

I’ve used a Pit Bull lift since my Goldwing days. It has the stability and clearance to add the sway bars. I did that with my 2016 RTL and will use it on my F3L to install.

Whwen I replaced my swaybar, I used a forklift, the "spoons", under the a-arms, with a wooden block between them, worked like a charm, and is one of the best improvements to install...
