And, this is why trying to find solid information by searching topics on threads is a painstaking exercise in frustration. Which is why newbies keep asking the same old questions about the same old topics. Which is why PROPERLY DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED STICKY threads on common topics would be invaluable.
Gurus aren't necessary for a sticky to be useful. Just someone who thinks and writes in a deliberate, organized, coherent fashion and moderators who are able to impose some discipline on TECHNICAL threads.
I'm not going to hold my breath.

Ah Ha...I knew it was going to be the moderators fault, eventually.

Not at all. The problem as I see it is the rules, as written, don't provide for any kind of thread topic discipline that can be enforced. In other words, this forum works well for its intended purpose, but not as a repository for objective technical information, which is what people are asking for when they ask for a sticky on after-market tire fitment and performance.

The subject has kind of been kicked around now for a couple days. Many suggestions made, nothing happing of note.
The "usual" back and forth with good ideas.
But so far, no takers.
We will let this subject run another day or so. Then if no thread, we should probably close this one down.
I am thinking, not happening at this time.
Let us know if you want it to run or to be closed down.

Just want to say that I really like and appreciate the new tire sticky for the Spyder. THANK YOU!!
The structured format is exactly what I have been looking for to more easily be able to find the information I need pertaining to my year and model of Spyder in order to purchase the right size car tire for replacement …. and for which wheels… front or back..
Since Spyder tire sizes are different from car tire sizes I do not know EXACTLY what size car tire to buy just by going to a tire dealer’s website.
In perusing the jillions of tire threads I have several pages of notes I have jotted down so that when the time came to make an actual purchase hopefully I was buying the correct size tire…my notes all end with: ??
I have a few thousand more miles before I have to make the replacement purchase but at least now I will be able to make a proper decision pertinent to my vehicle.
P.s…. I also appreciate that members are putting the year and model in their signature.
Members have some really good skills, experience and information but it is frustrating to figure out later it doesn’t pertain to my year and model Spyder.
Thank you members for updating your signature area.

That said, if you just use the mouse to select/highlight the important bits of the previous post, then copy & paste it into your post before editing out their tire details & putting your own in, you've achieved the same result with just a few clicks!
Might be a bit harder on a phone, but if you know how to select & copy text then it shouldn't be too hard to paste & edit the details in your own post.
I hear what you’re saying, but personally I think that way will discourage many. For the computer literate folks, I should think that someone should be able to devise a template that works on this system, especially in this day and age. jmho
