    Default Anyone have info on replacement Seat gas struts?

    Lots of info on here for RT seat struts. They appear to have the ball socket on each end and are easy to buy.

    I have an 08GS with a ball socket on the front and a bolt hole on the rear.

    Haven't been able to locate a stronger than oem one yet.

    Anybody have any info please

    Take it off. Go to an auto parts store and they will match it up for you.

    Took it off. Found that the bolt hole on one end screws off . Have ordered a 30lb unit from RockAuto with ball sockets on each end. Hoping to screw off the one on the shaft & screw my bolt end on.
    Strongarm #4420. Its measurements are essentially the same as mine.
    Last one left $6.80 + shipping to CAN.
