Default 2021 RTL rear panel repair - any push-pin replacements?

After installing the tric-LED rear and side marker LED lights I ran into a bit of an issue - the 4 plastic push pins had to be drilled out. They simply would not come out. I don't want to go down this road again, so what have some you tried instead of the push pins? .... Thanks.

Yes, here’s one that comes up in a search for “ push pins”, Mosess. You’ll be kicking yourself you didn’t find this before drilling them out …… and there’s a thread just below your post that also tells how to remove and replace them.

I installed tem on one side just need to get 6mm allen bolts in stainless steel. If if it works ill send you the info. I didnt put mine back in when I did my lights. No issues. The screws hold everything just fine.

I kept experimenting with different types of nutserts and finally went back to the crappy push pins...
