Bought an N-Line Trailer for touring in 2019 for our trip to Dawson City return. Liked the single wheel aspect and that the trailer is the same width as the 1500, and because of this, trailer would fit wherever the 1500 did. It is approximately 80 pounds with a load capacity of 100. This is the company's web site: https://www.n-line.com/ Bit of an expensive unit, but most purpose built trailer units are. Did check out the Uni Go trailers but could not get one in time for our northern trip.
Had to get a whitish Spyder to match the trailer, had the trailer first.
Enter the 2014 Spyder RTL, out with the 1500. Talked to N-Line regarding load capacity and trailer hitch. Rated load capacity is for insurance/liability; however, our discussion ended with it can be loaded with more, but don't be "stupid" about it.
The trailer comes with a set of wheels that can be attached to stabilize and move around a garage floor. These wheels need to be removed when the trailer is on a two wheel, but can be left on when attached to the Spyder. Will be adapting a set of floor standoffs so that it is easy to attach/detach the trailer. A single wheel does challenge your balancing skills.
The trailer is narrow enough to fit through a standard size door so it can be detached from the bike and taken into a ground floor motel if you're there for a while.
Discussed the trailer hitch and it was mentioned that the adapter for the trailer to a standard ball hitch is not the best. The company had one there with the specialized hitch for the trailer, and at a better cost so I purchased it.
Purchasing a hitch with a standard ball would have required an N-Line ball hitch adapter at $140.00 USD (~$200.00 CDN taxes in). Don't need two bike trailers so get the hitch that is suited for the job.
Have a plug and play wiring harness to install. Will be getting to that soon as well. Got mine from a company in Quebec: https://traileretc.com/ When the lights are connected willdo a road test.
