We got honorable mention on Accu Weather this AM.

Valley Springs (us) received 14 inches yesterday. They were right on. The melt is already on. Have not seen this much snow at one time since leaving Alaska 2.5 years ago. And did not miss it one bit.

Just got back from a snowmobile trip. In a long weekend we saw 28 below, 34 above, snow and enough wind to blow our empty trailer 20'. It was interesting. You have to love NH weather.

Got up this morning and there was no frost on the truck windshield. Currently it is 30°F and sunny. .....

41°F is the high for today, low 23°F.

Nice 60 degree day yesterday. The fourteen inches of snow melted off except for some very small patches in shady areas.

Here in Vt. today it is cloudy, temp is 34 degrees, and wind is blowing.

The rest of this month the temps are going to be cold. No January thaw!

I love warm weather and really don't care for any cold weather. I have noticed that as I have gotten older, weather temperatures below 40°F, are just not my thing.
I enjoy watching the snow falling. Going out to do the snow removal is no fun.

Today's high only 23°F with clouds. Low of 9°F. Currently clear skies and 14°F. The wind chill makes it feel like 1°F.

It was 72 today in the desert S.W. A group of us rode a little over 200 miles in perfect riding weather. As usual, a good meal was involved too. There were no clouds and very little wind. I really enjoy this time of year. As a side note, one of the riders today is a retired Arizona motorcycle policeman. During lunch he was asked how he kept cool during our scorching summers while riding all day. Here's his answer;

In the heat of summer, breaks were taken about every 1/2 hour. He was always completely geared-up including vest. He would seek out Circle K stores (convenience gas station/stores) approach the front counter and tell them he needed to cool off. Then he would go in the beer cooler with all his gear and stay there until everything cooled down.

He said the Circle Ks were always accommodating even when he was not in uniform. I found this interesting. Maybe some will find it useful too when things eventually turn hot. Stay safe..... Jim

75 today in FL. Put about 125 miles on the Spyder. I got to FL about 10 days ago. AT&T just got here today to fix internet, some things are slow here but the weather can be nice and the riding is great.

Here in VT. they are forecasting the coldest weather we have ever had for this weekend.

They are forecasting -20 to -30 temps, and feel like temps even colder than that. They are saying if you go out, bundle up. Keep the pets inside. Also, they have windchill advisory's out.

I am hunkering down, and not venturing out.

Anyone who has warm weather send it this way!

The desert S.W. continues to be very pleasant. The high temperatures have been around 70 to 74 each day. Today we are experiencing a little cool down with the high only getting to 67. The sky is partly cloudy and there is a slight chance of some sprinkles throughout the day. Tomorrow we will get back to normal with sunshine and 70-degree temperatures. I know, right now, we are having some of the better weather in the country. For those of you experiencing winter and bitter cold, please stay safe and warm..... Jim

40 today. The snow is gone except for about a 10 ft square patch in my shady part. The view is once again all grass and meadow. Tomorrow, supposed to be 50.

Welcome back from the long weekend.
Indiana weather has been all over the place, currently overcast skies and 23°F.
Oh yeah, We finally got a couple of snow showers and have some 'white gold ' on the ground/yard.

Thankfully I have the extra time to enjoy the 'falling flakes'.
I love being retired on days like this. ....

Today it's 36°F with some more snow showers. Low of 10°F. ......

Yesterday it was 55 so got to ride to church. Saw several bikes on the road, today not so much. Windy with snow flurries. Supposed to be back up in the 50’s Friday and Saturday.

It was 50 degrees in the Reno/Carson City area this afternoon.
I got out for a couple of hours of running errands with the bike.

We are having blue skies, no wind and 70 degree+ temperatures here in the desert S.W. Yesterday I opened the outside doors to the enclosure that houses my furnace and water heater. Had planned on just changing my furnace filter. To my surprise, my water heater was leaking!!! Normally I would replace myself but not this time. It is a natural gas heater and it is 22 years old. All the fittings and valves haven't been touched in that time. I don't want to mess with it. The installer will be here in 1/2 hour. It's going to cost a few hundred bucks but I will have peace of mind and won't be bleeding anyplace. No riding for me today. But tomorrow looks like a good day with 70 degrees again.
