No. Apparently, the passenger has to have some freedom of movement to be able to turn around and tell the driver what to do to keep them on the road. Especially if the passenger is "plus size." Just a theory.

Rode the S___ Scoop motorcycle taxis in Saigon during the Vietnam War. Seat for 2 passengers between the front tires. Kind of interesting to be a front bumper in Saigon traffic.
