Default BRP Replaced 2021 RTL Engine Due To Oil Leak

BRP replaced my 2021 Spyder RTL engine after discerning a casting error caused the leak. Traded in our 2008 Goldwing for this bike, and I'm glad for doing so.

How many weeks and arguments did it take to come to that conclusion?

Good, at least BRP stepped up and did the 'right thing'.

This has been a ongoing problem since 2014 when the 1330 first came out...Some got replacement engines and some got epoxied...When I picked up my new 2014 RTS, my dealer was replacing an engine for this problem...

You would think by now that BRP and Rotax would have quality control over the situation???

Please accept my apologies for taking so long to respond. The original engine began leaking oil at the 900-ish mile mark. Local dealer (Seminole Power Sports North) initially attempted to seal the leak the way we did our '55 Chevy--goop-based gasket sealer. Didn't work. They asked me to standby. Two days later, Service Manager called telling me they would replace the engine. Two weeks later, SM called to set an engine replacement date. Impeccably professional. The shop must have called me three or four times over the past several months to ensure all worked as planned. This week, I drove my machine in for the 3000 mile service (2000 miles on the the new engine)--no issues. Today, I led a ride to breakfast five miles away, and then rode about 80 miles coming home. Incredibly happy with my RTL and highly recommend Seminole Power Sports North in Eustis, FL.

Followup on Gator, I bought my 2020 RTL from same place Gator got his. They always treated me right, no complaints. I'd be going back there for service, but I moved too far to make the ride.
