Question for you do it yourselfers out there. I just bought a 2015 F3sm6 Spyder, and I am not thrilled with the open top rear fender. I am considering buying a steel or plastic trailer fender and fabricating a full fender for the rear of my Spyder. Have any of you done or seen this done.
Thanks for any constructive advise or ideas. Willie
Yeah, fab one up yourself - BRP makes a plastic beaver tail style replacement. $400.00 bucks for a piece of plastic?? I don't think so, no matter how good it looks.......
Are you talking about the BRP chopped rear fender? If so, it is made out of steel, not plastic. It is pricey, but deals can be found. I paid $325/new. What is cheap these days

Curious where you got yours and any weight savings, if any?

I bought mine from the dealership I used to work at. Someone ordered it, but later changed their mind. They're getting harder to find now. Quite a bit of weight savings. Though I never weighed the pieces individually, the chopped fender/plate mount is quite a bit lighter than the OEM hugger/light assembly/support braces.
