Default F3LTD Passenger Backrest Modification to extend height needed?

    Passenger Backrest F3LTD

A friend of mine wants to extend the height of the passenger backrest on his 2019 F3LTD
His passenger has a medical condition and needs the backrest to be higher by about 3” to 4” and across the width to give extra support
The issue is that the Rear Trunk Lid opens over the existing passenger backrest
Has anyone modified the backrest to allow this to be done or can suggest a work around to achieve the desired result

Why not try fitting a 'velcro-ed on' pad to the front edge of the Trunk Lid??

If you make the new pad protrude forward enough, it should fill the gap between the trunk lid and the top leading edge of the back rest.... and the velcro attachment bit will allow you to easily remove the pad when you want to open the trunk. Should work OK, would that help?? If it's not something you're confident in making/sourcing your own, then I'd ask a wheel chair provider/modifier or an orthotics supplier if they could make you something to do the job - they may even have better ideas.
