Gotta say - . I put mine in the inside lower corner of each mirror, so that if needs must, I can quickly spin them so that I can see exactly where my rear tire is going; but for general use, they are aimed out so that with both I can effectively see the 180 degress behind me - well, except for the bit that either my pillion passenger or I block, but a bit of head movement can usually fix that! .
Interesting, Peter. I actually put mine on the inside upper corner. That top part of the stock mirror is obscured by my arm/elbow anyway. That lets me use my stock mirror to see below my elbow for traffic directly behind me, leaves the rest of the stock mirror free and the convex mirror gives me wide angle beside me. Horses for courses

Yeah, I have the stock mirrors aimed out & back so that I don't see any of me & just the barest smidge of the top/rear of the panniers (on the RT ) - and that barest smidge is the bit I generally cover with the rotating wide vue mirrors.... but I suspect your size may have somewhat more 'blocking effect' than mine?!
Besides, I only ever qualified as 6ft tall and 'built' in my 'young, fit, & bullet-proof' days, and a whole lot of damage, compression type injuries, & shoulder surgeries since then means that I'm a tad shorter'n less imposing these days. . Shorter, heavier round the waist, slower, not as fit.... geez, they weren't kidding when they said 'the older you get the better you waz'!!

I'm glad you said that, because I was going to ask if anyone had ever placed on in the inside upper corner.
I have the swivel, rectangular stick-ons on my car mirrors. Has anyone ever stuck these https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...JPDABE8KA&th=1 on the edge of their windscreen? I'd like something that's more eye level so I don't have to look down and away from the road.

Interestingly, I have had to remove those mirrors on the upper inside since I installed my Daylong seat, Carolanivey. It lifted me 2” and they got in the way. On the plus side, I now only see a tiny piece of my elbow in the stock mirrors, so they are working a treat.
I did use a curved mirror that sits in the middle of the dash in front of you on one of my previous bikes. Yes, your body is in the middle of it, but the curve on each side gave me great peripheral vision. I’ll see if they still make them, as I might give one a go.
They look something like this, although mine was mounted to the dash, not the screen.

I've tried those small convex mirrors on my vehicles and Spyder, but found the object is too small to be recognizeable. Also, with the Spyder I have to take my eyes off the road too long to make out what the spot mirror is showing me.
The full size custom fit stick on mirrors work well for their purpose. Pricey, yes, but they are optical quality and well worth it for the safety factor, I think.
Not satisfied with that, I've mounted some inexpensive glass motorcycle mirrors to the outside edges of the instrument panel cowl, up high where i can easily glance at them. I don't know why Can-Am doesn't provide that option.

I use these from TricLED. They are designed specifically for the RT and fit perfectly over the OEM mirrors. They may be a lot more than the stick on 2" round mirrors but I really think they are quality and work well.
I put those tricled mirrors on my 2021 RT and they helped a lot increasing the view and eliminating the blind spots. I was fortunate to catch them on sale (can't remember where). Only problem is when passing another vehicle, you have to make sure you wait a little longer to pull in. Objects in mirrors are REALLY closer than they appear. One idea I may try is to remove one side for a better perspective of distance--might work --hope they peel off easy with a little heat.
Looking to get the stick on mirrors so I can get better rear view visual. I can live with part of the handle bar in the OEM mirrors, but I want a tad more view from the rear. Been to the after market sites for the complete stick on, but not wanting to pay those exorbitant $, I'm thinking one of those simple stick on round mirrors. Suggestions appreciated.

When properly adjusted, the combination of the stick-ons, your regular mirror, your peripheral vision and regular vision, give you 360° of vision without ever turning your head. I do still take a look over my shoulder though as 54 years of driving and over 500K on bikes forms habits that are hard to break.
