Default Suggestions on which Stick on Convex Mirrors to get?

Looking to get the stick on mirrors so I can get better rear view visual. I can live with part of the handle bar in the OEM mirrors, but I want a tad more view from the rear. Been to the after market sites for the complete stick on, but not wanting to pay those exorbitant $, I'm thinking one of those simple stick on round mirrors. Suggestions appreciated.

I have a bum neck so I use them on all my bikes so I don't have to twist my neck to safely make lane changes.

I have been using them for years. A 2" blind spot mirror in the upper outer corner works just as well or better than the fancier options available.
Thunder's just the noise. Lightning does the work.

Check your local auto parts stores. I have put them on my four wheeled vehicles for years.

Hi Bill. I have the Wide Vu mirrors I got from Value Accesories. I don't remember what I paid for them, but they have been on for a long time. I really like that I dont have to look at certain spot or only see a little picture, but the whole mirror. Worth every penny. You'll have to check Value to see if they have them for your 2020. The ones for my 2012 are listed at $77.xx

The stick on ones work well. I had them on my 2011 and 2014 for years. Both went down the road to trade in land. Maybe Santa will bring us some more for the F3's. I miss them.

I use these from TricLED. They are designed specifically for the RT and fit perfectly over the OEM mirrors. They may be a lot more than the stick on 2" round mirrors but I really think they are quality and work well.

Thanks Warren, I saw those and I saw the price, and slowed me down a bit. Saving up a few coins to get Baha Ron's sway bar and I couldn't justify the triLED mirrors.

It's a safety item. Those cheap round stick on mirrors do little to improve rear vision. If yours is impaired then I encourage you to address that problem as a priority.

I had the Wide Vu mirrors on my RTL. I considered them to be one of the best safety features that I added. Instead of providing a small spot convex view, they provided a large picture of what was beside and behind me. Blind spots were completely eliminated. As I got older, seeing a bigger picture became important. Your money and your choice.....But, given an option I would spend the money and go with the bigger mirror. For me they were well worth the price..... Jim

I have been using round stick-on mirrors on bikes for several years and have also done the same with our 2014 RT-L. I place them in an area of the primary mirror that typically only reflects a portion of my arms and body when the primary is adjusted the way I like them. The combination of your forward eye-sight, peripheral vision, the convex mirror and primary mirrors give you 360° of vision without ever turning your head. I still do look over my shoulders though when changing lanes or turning as it never hurts to verify the presence or not of something in a blind spot. The attached picture is one I put together using a picture of one of my R1100RT mirrors to show placement in the wasted space on the primary mirror and the graphic representation of the lines of sight using a good overhead image harvested from the Internet. These mirrors can typically be found at auto parts stores, Walmart, Amazon, etc. for around $6/pair. The adhesive on all of them so far has been exceptional.

The red lines here show approximately what I see in the convex mirrors. The blue lines represent what I see in the primary mirrors with the cross-over of vision being only about 15 feet behind me. In typical head position even on a sport bike, notice the red lines easily overlap the typical 180° of peripheral vision that most people have.

Thanks Tx, that is my plan, Amazon says my convex mirrors will arrive tomorrow. Totally understand about the 'look over the shoulder to verify'. The life you save may be your own applies.

I got some at WalMart that actually fit the fan curvature of the outside portion of my F3T mirror. It is not the typical round one and almost looks custom. I think they cost me
between $7 to $10. They show two brands: Sanwood and Blue Sky as manufactures. When positioned like in the picture on the website they work well.

I have been using them for more years than I can count. Bike, cars, trucks. Get them all the time at "WallyWorld". Cheap, inexpensive safety item! Get the ones in the "RV" section. They have a black outline the can turn so you can fine tune your view. Tom

I have been on the search for mirrors that are less than two inches. Not much of a choice out there.

I found these on Amazon, but not sure of the quality.

Yeah, I always recommend the ones that turn too, Tom. They cost very little more, but allow you to set the view exactly where you want it once they are mounted

Gotta say - . I put mine in the inside lower corner of each mirror, so that if needs must, I can quickly spin them so that I can see exactly where my rear tire is going; but for general use, they are aimed out so that with both I can effectively see the 180 degress behind me - well, except for the bit that either my pillion passenger or I block, but a bit of head movement can usually fix that! .
