New OE BRP belt tensioner (2020-2021 RTL) - anyone know which roller it has??
Question:
I just bought a new 2021 RTL and see that it comes from factory, not dealer installed belt tensioner! I can’t tell if the roller is new one with duel bearings like the one from LaMonster? Anyone know?

From the factory. It would be the single bearing. I would replace the roller with Lamonsters larger 2 bearing roller. It is around 50 bucks.

Thanks, that sounds like a good idea! Now for the covers…

do the Belt Tensioners fit All RT Spyders ??? or are some different ???

Not sure about 2020-2021 RT’s, mounting is different? LaMonster should have the answer, call them. They are a sponsor on this sight.

Okay. i one question, does the 2021 come from the factory with the tensioner.

Not sure! That is why I started this thread, I was told from shop I bought new 2021 RTL from that it had a “new” white front sprocket and a belt tensioner, it has neither! The Spyder was just delivered and when I checked, not what I was told! Called sales guy, and got the “that was what my service dept. told me” Sorry, but things will be fine! New Spyder does run great, no noise from front sprocket or vibration! Time will tell.

Just keep your eye on the sprocket for red rust on the surface of your sprocket, as far as needing a vibration dampener, if your belts adjusted the right way you should not need one at all and will be better off with out it!! It will be one less thing to go wrong, worry less, ride more!!! Good Luck

Thanks! That is the plan, weather in Western New Mexico not bad this week! Plan on riding as often as possible, need to break in the new bike.

After a certain build date, the 2021 models do come with a belt tensioner / damper installed from the factory. I had heard, but have not seen one in person, that new roller is larger diameter mounting bolt, I believe larger diameter roller and dual bearings.
