Default GPS to fit existing Garmin bracket on 2013 RT

Is there a newer Garmin Zumo model that will fit the existing bracket/powersource on the 2013 RT?

No. Changing the cradle of each succeeding model is one of Garmin's strategies to ensure users purchase complete systems.

Are you looking to upgrade the GPS you have or don't have one now. I think the 2013 came with a 595?

Zumo 660 was BRP GPS for 2013 RTs.

I updated my Zumo 660, which came with the '13 RTL, in May this year and it now has all the new streets update. At least here in northern Utah. No need for a new Garmin yet.

    Cheers!

Garmin routinely sells their devices with lifetime maps that are updated at least twice yearly included in the price. Garmin Express, free software, enables the updating and if one is so inclined also allows one to update the maps on Garmin's route planning software, BaseCamp, also free software. Again, Garmin Express allows the updating of BC but the GPS must remain connected to a computer because the lifetime maps contain the unlocking code to update BC.

To my knowledge none of the newer Garmin's will fit that cradle.

The 2013 came with a Zumo 660 pre-installed with the wiring and bracket.

It seems the answer is 'no'

Why do you want a newer model?

The Garmin XT is light years ahead of the older models. You can plan a route easily on the unit vs. Base Camp. The only sketchy thing is the mount. Definitely need to tether the unit to the bike in some fashion.
