Suggestions for winterize with no power
I'm thinking I might want to shelter my 2018 Spyder RT Limited in our storage shed for the winter. The problem is the shed does not have power to plug in engine heaters, battery tender, etc. Any thoughts or suggestions on things I might want to consider? I have gas treatment to add to the tank and purchased some used blankets for cover but it might need to sit for a few months during the coldest part of winter, maybe Dec-Mar time frame.

Winterizing without power.
Greg,
Do you have any outdoor electrical outlets?? If so buy enough footage of outdoor rated extension cord at a minimum of 16 ga. wire, 14 gauge if you can find it would be better. I have no power to my shed either, but 200 ft of extension cord keeps every thing happy over the cold times in Michigan.

Greg, if you don't find another option just remove the battery and take it inside. It's not a hard job and it will be ready to go in the spring.

I would put the Stabil to the gas tank, find a nice spot for her, take the battery out, and put it in a warm spot, put the tender on it, Put your cover, or blanket or both on it, put moth balls or dryer sheets all around it, and say good night!!! P.S Drive it around the block when you put the Stabil in the tank, just to get it into the system!! It has worked for me for years with no problems!! Good luck!!!

Mikey said EXACTLY what I was thinking ..... plus if you leave the tires on the ground, add air to at least 45 psi, and put some rug or cardboard under where the tires stay ...... jmho .... Mike

My storage facility also has no power,so as Al said I have 100 ft of extension cord to power my battery tender and that works just fine. A little Star Tron in the fuel and a cover and wait for the snow to melt or a least the January thaw. There are always a few good days the in the 50*s.

Maybe a solar maintainer & or pull the batt keep somewhere warmerreally don’t get hibernating , mostly just avoiding the muddy slush round here. Would be concerned about critters nesting with the blankets.

Make sure the battery is fully charged. Then disconnect one of the cables to make sure there is no load on the battery. It'll survive the winter OK. May need a recharge in the spring. I leave the battery in my lawn mower all winter with no battery tender on it. Starts in the spring with no problem.
The only time I've not seen a battery last all winter is when they are not in very good condition in the fall.

As I’ve mentioned before, even if you stored in your own garage put a bar of Irish Spring soap on the box underneath the vehicle and critters will not bother it.
