USB port only works when engine is off
I encountered a strange problem with my 2016 Rts. The USB port started behaving weird. It drops in and out (mostly out) while riding. I tightened the tabs in the connector. If I just turn the key on, the connection is good. Music plays from my phone. Charging works. If I crank the engine, it all drops out. Turn the engine off, it comes back.
Everything worked fine for the past 5 years. I can’t figure this one out. Anyone else seen this or know what is happening?

Is the cord bad that your’re connecting to the usb, instead of the usb itself?

I don't have a solution, but it sounds like something is loose somewhere and is effected by the vibration of the engine.

Well, I'm not sure. it works fine when the engine is off.
I thought about the cord being loose somewhere inside. The connection at the usb connector is tight. It's possible the engine rattles it loose but it seems more like a logic problem. It's weird.

I'm not familiar with the 2016. Does it have a USB port from the factory?
