My hands are small enough that I still have room to partially grasp the grip if I feel the need to.
For my tender palms I have added the foam grips… again, as I had on all those bikes. This Spyder’s bare grips are the roughest grips I have ever experienced on any bike.
I've been contemplating the throttle boss since I do get some 'tingle' in the right hand and can't use cruise if in traffic. Good comment, thanks.

Developed pain in base of thumb area, hard to use hand brake, a jerry rigged clutch handle and cable that pulls down the brake pedal for me...missing right leg due to MRSA attack in 2007. Went to see a Phys. Therapist, who referred me to an occupational Therapist; they work on hands, not PTs. Don't screw around, the longer you have pain, it might develop into a Perm situation that therapy can't fix

That's one thing I've noticed with the RT - right wrist/elbow pain. Cruise is all well and good on the highway, but I prefer to avoid slab riding. I've got the hard plastic cramp buster, but I've never liked it on any of my bikes. There's no simple way to adjust the bars on the older RTs.

That is one of the big advantages with the new RT (2020 / 21) the handlebars have a lot more things you can do for adjustability. I'm still looking but do like that part.

Also to add….my Heli-bars made a HUGE difference for wrist/forearm/shoulders/back… all for the better.
Pricey but I didn’t want to try this or that, be disappointed with them, then have a collection of stuff I wasted money on and it sits in a box.

I've finally adjusted my 20 RTL short reach bars to the lowest position so they don't block my mirrors, seems to be a comfortable position so far.

Heli-bars work for the late models, not so much for the earlier ones.

I have a 2021 Spyder F3LTD. I bought the large crampbuster. I seems to help. It's a matter of where you locate it on the throttle. If you use the standard mode and not the ECO, you won't have to move your wrist as much. It does help.

Slingmods has an excellent video showing what it does and how to do the simple installation.
I bought one from Slingmods and installed it and I gotta say, that is one amazing little box. Set At City +3, I'm moving the throttle maybe half of what a use to in order to maintain a speed.
Not only does the PC cure my wrist pain, but it makes the bike feel as though it is a lot more powerful. Even though it does not add power. I was thinking about getting an ECM reflash, but now it would be a waste, as the PC does everything I expected of the reflash and much more.
Re carpal tunnel: Many years ago, an orthopedic surgeon told my that condition can be avoided - or reduced - if you do not bend your wrist while sleeping. In other words, sleep with your wrists straight. Maybe that's why I don't have CT in my mid 80s.
Yes, same recommendation from my orthopedic specialist. I sleep with a wrist brace to keep from bending my wrist during the night. I tend to curl it up under my neck or bend it back against a pillow. Now, the wrist brace keeps those issues from happening and my wrist is greatly improve and not had to have the surgery. So I'm good with my solution.

I also had wrist pain when I first got my RT. I didn’t know what was causing it until it finally just went away after about a month or two. I chalked it up to the difference in geometry on the bars of Can Am compared to the bars on my Harley. Now everything is just fine.

OK, I have the foam grips and they do help a lot. Rode almost 100 miles today and only had mild discomfort. Next question, anyone know if there are any bar risers that will fit on the 09 GS yet are reasonably priced?
