Y’all were both close but not quite. Granted the tech said was oddly unique when they saw it too.
FYI labeled simply as spacer fits between bearing & swing arm on brake side. 5D4B6717-7A19-4FCA-A4F3-2E163F531DDF.jpeg when bearing failed it welded itself to inner race 227E2839-8FD1-49B9-8428-0CC9174F40A7.jpeg(crack is the seam)Aluminum to steel weld mind you E9419A21-C130-4710-8BF7-FF3947541188.jpeg (What is suppose to look like)enough damage & heat ; thought best replaced the rim. Yeah you didn't notice anything before the failure?

I would think it would be more bearing failure or axle not torqued properly.

But then again your would think the rim would have been damaged too??

Really didn’t was some no rhythm clunking at slower speeds & wouldn’t do when up on jack & turning by hand
