    Default Battery access

My 19 F3L has a dead battery. Is it accessed by pulling the frunk out? Do those plastic rivets just break off?

The frunk tub, referred to in the operator's guide as the basket, must be removed to gain access to the battery. The plastic rivets are actually two piece push pin rivets that are removable and reusable. If you examine one of the rivets you will see that it is composed of an inner and outer piece with two grooves in the outer piece that a small flat blade screwdriver can be inserted into to lift the inner piece out when the inner piece is pulled out to its maximum the whole rivet can be lifted out.

Once you have exposed the battery you may charge it per the instructions in your operator's guide. Personally, depending on the age of the battery I suggest having it load tested as there's no sense in charging a battery that's on its last legs. At this time it would be advisable, IMO, to procure a Deltran Battery Tender Jr. that comes with a pigtail that you can attach to the terminal posts of the battery and route it outward to a convenient place where you can easily connect it to the battery maintainer when not riding your Spyder.

    otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

When you reinstall the front tub (basket). Don't install the plastic rivets. Not needed.
