Well this is kind of messed up - wrong plate type issued!
Got an envelope in the mail this morning from Washington State Department of Licensing. I thought great, I got my permeant plate for my Spyder. I opened the envelope and removed the plate. It was not a standard WA state motorcycle plate. It was green and marked Washington Restricted Vehicle.
What the heck? So I called my dealership and spoke to the salesman who sold me the bike. We was as baffled as I was. He said that is a license plate for a side by side ATV. He told me he is going to go talk to his Title Clerk and get back to me. I wonder how this gets resolved?

The salesman called me back. He said someone in DOL messed up, which I figured out all by myself. He asked if I got my title yet and I told him no. He said it should be coming in a few days. Once it comes he said to call back and he would have their Title Clerk re-register my bike again. In the meantime, should my temp license plate run out, he told me they would shoot me off a new one. We'll see how this works out.

It sure sounds to me like the dealer's title clerk is the one that messed up, not the State...

I'm thinking the same thing. After all, the state just processed the paperwork they got from the dealer.
