Yes the RFID key is used. It is permanently attached to the ball and buried beneath the plastic cover. However, I like this system because I have two fobs. And there is an emergency override using a unique code if all of my fobs are gone. I do not have a dealer within 100 miles. To get a replacement key I must take the Ryker to the dealer and have them enter a code for the key to match my bike. That is if they have a key in stock. So far I am pretty happy with the keyless system.

I find HOWARD LEIGHT Laser Lite earplugs to be the best. ....

I like the Max Lite. Put them in properly (sounds stupid but some pople don't.) I have worn the wax plugs mentioned and find them pretty much useless.
