Concur with Woodaddict -- a web search returns over 10 businesses offering used motorcycle loans. The origination and related fees will probably be less than Hunter's fees. You know the OTD price with MONK. You'll likely have to work harder to get the OTD price from Hunter.

your intention is to put down payment of $13,000, on a $23,500 bike( forgot price),,, thats around 50% to loan. should get that from anywhere. Credit Union, local bank, on line financial places. just do your duty...................your just playing the place of the dealership. AND your get a better deal minus those extra dealer costs

What the others said. If you have $10k for a down payment and plan to finance the remaining $13,500, there are ways to make that work pretty easily.

Heck Monk, I think you should raise the price 3 or 4 thousand from what I'm seeing others post on fakebook and then let the buyer negotiate it down to what you are asking now. Probably move in a week and the buyer can brag about the great deal they are getting.

Does this come with the original rear trunk?

It started out life an a base model, not a Limited. I added the trunk (which honestly is much better than the OEM trunk). The only things that keep this from being a Limited are heated seats (which are vastly overrated), auto leveling rear suspension (again, vastly overrated unless you change up the number of passengers daily) and rear speakers (does anyone really use bike speakers anymore?). This is honestly a better bike with more features than a Limited.

We sold our 20 in a day. We are blessed to be able to pay it off and obtain the title. We also did not have your massive list of accessories. So, sold it for less. Done is good! Might have gotten a bit more, but done is done! If I were in your shoes, I’d harvest as many things I could, and lower the price to move it, and clear the loan. Then, sell those bits. Yes, used parts are 50 cents on the dollar, but, you can take your time on the pieces and parts. Just a thought. Joe

Yup ... I always keep my stock parts after I replace them with aftermarket. Before I sell them separate, I'll offer them to the prospective buyer for a deal. With today's prices/availability, selling a nice used accessory is both easier and cost effective. My .02

Went for a nice (short) ride today. It was too cold to ride more than about 30 miles.

Glad you were able to get out and enjoy it for a while. What size rear trunk is that? I am wanting one to go on my BMW and be able to switch it to my F3T for trips on that also.

Shad 58X. It's expandable. Fully open, it'll hold a couple of full face helmets. It's not cheap but well worth it in my opinion. The backrest is an added cost option. I only purchased the backrest part because it makes the box look more finished. Now that I'm selling the bike, I wish I hadn't.

Monk, suggest you insert your upgrade list (post 1) into an Excel spreadsheet with prices for each, to better indicate the value of your Spyder.

Wow. I'm blessed that NC doesn't use salt (except sometimes up in the mountains....I'm in the foothills) so I don't have to worry about that.

Supposed to mid 70's here today and upper 70's on Friday. I am going to try to convince some of the guys to ride down to Carolina Beach and grab a bite to eat. 3 hours ride each way is not too bad for good seafood on a beautiful day.

Hi, Bill. I'd love to keep it but I'm paying a lot of money for something I can only ride for 30-45 minutes at a time (and my back pays for it when I'm done). There's just no sense in it. Even if I had Bill Gates money, I'd sell it just because I can't justify it. Unfortunately, I don't have Bill Gates money and need the funds for other things (both medical and otherwise).

Sorry to hear that Monk, maybe I missed the back issue, but I certainly understand your delima, not a good place to be. We will all face the decision to hang it up at some point. Certainly wish you the best with the back thing, the Spyder sale, and the future.
