If you only buy ONE tire it really needs to match .... if not steering / handling issues will happen and the tire you have better not have a lot of wear on it ..... Why only one tire ???? ..... Mike

They need to match, as Mike states (he's usually right) I have michelin cross climate's in the front, 175/60 R15, dunno if they have them in canada, but these tyres, I like them allot.
There are alotta options, but most are better then the kenda tyres
the funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it........

    I Guys

My English is not very ggood

Many brands of tires you have in US we don't have here in Canada, they don't sell a lot.

I bought Kenda Kanine KR20 that I had installed in an independent workshop,

I can't give you an account of their efficiency, but after about 160 kilometers its much better than the original Kenda scrape, and I had the lazer lined up.

Just changed my front tires from the OEM Kenda, still in good condition after 16K Kms but going on 7 years in age, with 155/60R16 Kuhmo Solus KH16 tires. 98 percent match, just a shade narrower. Same price as the OEM Kenda, non-directional, good tread profile. Reason for Kumho - availability in my area. These tires are used on Smart cars. Inflated to 22 PSI. Good luck.

Sorry for not being clearer I'm looking to replace both front tires as they are getting close to the wear bars. Board suggestion was to use the Federal Forma 0ZA
they are currently available in Canada so looking for another tire to use other then stock tire.

It's pretty hard to give you good advice because you didn't say what you ride. And, there is nothing in your profile to help us..... Jim

That helps. If your problem finding tires because of limiting size, there are other size options that work also. Your RTL has the "new" style front fenders. That's what I had also. I went with 175/55R15 tires and they fit just dandy. A little bigger than the OEM size and they looked/handled really great. They fit without any modification. The one thing I did was to snip 1/4 inch off the fender attachment bolts. They are unnecessarily long and intrude into the wheel wells. I took one out at a time and snipped the ends off. Three per side and took maybe 10 minutes. Probably not necessary but I just wanted to be safe.

Again, you don't need to limit your tire search to only the size that was OEM. And, any tire you use will make you happier than the Kendas. Good luck..... Jim

I've read several threads on the subject of tires, but as a new Spyder owner I am curious as to what is disliked about the OEM Kendas? I've only put about 1,400 miles on the 2021 RT that I've had for a month, and so far I cannot say I am displeased with how they handle. What am I missing?

My RT-S had Kenda tires when I got it and they started to "cup" early on, even though I had them balanced and had the alignment done. They also tended to wear on the inner edge of both tires. I changed them at 14,000 miles to Continental ContiProContact 165/55R15 and have plenty of room under the fenders. These tires are non-directional and about every 2,500 miles I swap the left with the right and run the tires backwards. This seems to help with wear. They handle GREAT and are good in both wet and dry conditions. I usually ride solo and run 19 p.s.i. in them. So far, I have 28,000 miles on them and they look almost like new. VERY pleased with my choice of replacement front tires!

IF your Kenda's are NOT defective they are Adequate, not great, just adequate..... with good alignment expect about 22 to 25,000 mi. .. But the Rear tire is only going to last ( on avg. ) 12 to 15,000 mi.... Mike

I don't know about availability in Canada but lots of folks here (Spyderlovers) seem to be pretty happy with the Vredestein Q5 or Quatrac. I do not have experience with them but based on my research I will be putting a set on my fronts very shortly.

I hope this reply works or I've now replied 3 times lol.

Thanks to all that took time to reply with suggestions. I got Continental's for the front and a General for the rear.

At Lamonster's recommendation I switched to the 595 Evos and presently have 27.9K on them and they are still doing fine.

I found some 595 Evos on some obscure web site, several pages down in the search, for about $88/tire but since I didn't need didn't bookmark it. It seems right now most all brands are back ordered or listed not available.
