Default Trailer wiring harness - where do you route wires/mount on Spyder?

I have a 2021 Spyder RTL and have installed the Big Bike Parts trailer hitch: https://www.lamonstergarage.com/trai...els-lamonster/

I also purchased this wiring harness at the same time: https://www.lamonstergarage.com/trai...020-lamonster/

The hitch was an easy install. The wiring harness required taking a lot of the bike apart to get to the taillight connectors. I was able to get that done, but need some help now with routing and mounting the bike side of the connector before I put it all back together. For those of you that know, what location and hardware/bracket do you recommend for mounting the connector to the bike or hitch? I want it to be safe and protected from weather, and I want it to be durable to handle long rides on a variety of road surfaces without stressing the connection to the trailer. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Buy a 1” wide 1/8” think piece of aluminum from any hardware store (Home Depot), and look under the left saddlebag. At the rear, you will see a hole, and at the front, a lip that you need to drill a hole into. Drill holes in the aluminum. Bolt on. Route the wires down to the aluminum. Zip tie or clamp the wires out of harms way. Call me if you need help. Joe
