Default Useful Information for 2012 Can-Am Spyder Owners

I thought this might be useful for anyone who purchased a 2012 Can-Am Spyder and may not have received this information.

CHANGES TO MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE AND INSERTS MAILED TO ME WITH THE NEW INSTRUCTIONS

Can-Am sent a mailing to me changing some of the maintenance requirements for the Trike. It was actually good news -- it extended the time period to get certain recommended services completed. They sent pages to be placed in the owners manual to replace the old requirements. Here are the changes:

I think this should be the parts you get with the BRP number 219800255.

Default New Gas Cap also for my 2012 Can-Am Spyder RT-S SM5

I received a new gas cap in the mail for my 2012 Spyder also. . BRP indicated that the original gas cap may have allowed fuel vapors to escape and cause pollution. There was no mention of fire risk at all.

Here are a couple of pictures of the old and new caps. The old cap is on the left in both photos. You can see how much larger the replacement cap is compared to the original.

Since all this stuff was presumably, sent out a long time ago, that is amazing you still have it all. Thanks for sharing.

I began the practice of downloading PDF copies of everything that was important and placing on my PC and in the CLOUD a long time ago (Tax Documents for every year with supporting documentation: vehicle registration cards; proof on motor vehicle insurance; home owners insurance; etc.).

If the original document is not available in PDF format, I scan into PDF format myself.
