There is a recent video by Shawn Smoak too that explains the process of riveting the mud flap to the hitch. He says a simple pop rivet tool won't do the job. The rivets also may have a PN in the instructions.
Artillery lends dignity to what would
    otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

I made this mud flap and bolted it to the back of the trailer hitch
also cut a piece of thin metal to go around the existing fender and
mounted to the trailer hitch. The reason for that was a lot of spray
in heavy rain coming from the tire in between the trailer hitch.

I picked a cheap mud flap up from advanced auto parts made a cardboard
Cutout and designed the mud flap then I transferred to the rubber and cut it out.

First prototype, I made a little too long and when I put it in reverse pulled it off.
Luckily the mudflaps came in a pair so I had a second opportunity to cut another.

Great job... looks good.. I'm sort of wanting to modify this some.. I have a Goldwing with Rivco hitch pulling the 622. Goldstrike makes a fender extension but I do not want to add to the bike. I'm going to make a bracket to make a mud flap like yours, but it will mount between the ball and hitch using the ball to secure it behind the bike. That way when I ride without the trailer, I take the Rivco hidden hitch off, the bike looks stock. Then when I put the hitch on, it has the additional flap. Was looking at modifying or using the brp plastic piece.. I liked the look and style.. and mount to the hitch pin ball nut.. Almost like your modification, but in my case I don't have the two arms.
