Default Brake light switch mechanism sticking

Just noticed yesterday when I parked the F3 the brake light was on.

Seems it's not the switch but rather the mechanism that is sticking sometimes. Anything I should lubricate to avoid this?

    Thanks.

Check the return spring (should there be one) as well. Perhaps it is too weak to pull the pedal and activate the brake light switch.

In order to help the OE spring pull the pedal up so that it turns the brakelight switch off properly, many have simply added one of these...

I don't think there is any return spring for the F3 it seems it might be the switch failling...

If it's not the switch, and you don't find a return spring on the brake linkage, that don't mean you can't put one on there some where! Possibly a good cleaning under there and a little lube on all the linkages and a switch adjustment is in order! good luck check it out! Let us know what you found!
