I assume a majority of you have named your "rides". A few {mostly ladies } asked what was her name. So, I named HIM. Quasimoto.
You know, the Ryker has a hunchback, is a MOTOrcycle....Quasimoto. So, what is your rides name ?
Actually I take that back, I once named one POS. That was many years ago.
Let me guess... was it a Yamaha XS650 Twin?? . Or was that just me??
My Pearl White 2013 RT Ltd Spyder gets called Cody by the Grandkids, apparently cos it looks like Cody, the Robo-Sapien! (you'd hafta search, I did... 2 hours of my life down the gurgler! )
But the 'medium-term Ryker Rally demo bike' that I got to spend some quality time with was called 'Jiminy Picket' by my Grandkids, then everyone when it caught on.... including the Can-Am sales-bods - obviously because it looked very much like a cross between a Pitbull & a Cricket that'd caught up at high velocity with a parked car.....
Ok...when my Ryker Rally is "wearing" orange it is Draco and when it is "wearing" pink Draca...my Can Am mechanics love this and I make appts by the bikes name not mine...go figure...I named my hubby's Valkyrie just that "Valkyrie" cz it goes like a bat out of ... though Draco gives the Valkyrie a run for its money in the quarter mile...and out Indian Roadmaster is "Mistress" because she IS my hubby's mistress
our ones is called "dolce vita" (sweet live) - we ryde most time over the mountains, than along the Italian coast and visit some islands there - the Italian way of live ..

~~~hey Peter!, are you still subscribed to this post?!? I was looking at old posts i made in the Ryker forum and saw where you commented on the venerable<LOL> Yamaha XS650. I bought one new in 1976. My first new bike in fact. I recall having trouble with the electrical system, and once when I rode it from Detroit down to Bristol Virginia, lost the charging. Mine wAs plagued with electrical shorts in the main wiring harness right behind the steer stem bearings
The neighborhood wrench who was also a biker, whom i looked up to back in the day, when i told him I wanted to buy/ride a Triumph twin he told me “no you don’t, i had 13 Triumphs, stay away from them”. That’s when i bought a new 76’ XS 650, which had a slew of its own electrical problems
