I was going to say that I'll let you know later today because the wife has the black diamond footboards and I'll be adding the extended brake pedal today. But Geo already confirmed.
You will lose a lot of the usable floorboard area using the extended brake pedal with the Lamonster black diamond floorboards though. For that reason I just removed the extended brake pedal a few days ago.
Tried the large brake pedal here with craptacular results. I prefer to "cover" the pedal with my toes, and the additional height of the pedal (about 1/2") screws with the clearance. Adjusting the pedal height puts it either too high or too low for comfort and ease of use. The smaller pedal works fine, so back to OEM for me.
Worth mentioning, my ankle is held together with spit and chewing gum, with limited motion, so maybe it's just me.
Where can one buy these Command floorboards? Is there an installation thread or more info on here?
Edit - I see it takes modifications…..so a big nope for me.
Slingmods sells both the Commander floor boards and the extended brake pedal. There are no modifications involved, just remove the stock pegs and replace them with the Commander floorboards.
I installed the Black Diamond floorboards and took it on a 250 mile ride. Very comfortable but I had them in the furthest forward position. When I first got my Rally I had the pegs set there and always would get my boot caught on the silver trim when trying to apply the brakes and had the same problem with the floorboards. I figured I could just get the brake pedal extension but now the brake is too high and it blocks maybe 20% of the floorboard making it unusable. I only wear a 10.5 shoe and the brake pedal pushes my foot back so far that my entire heel doesn't sit on the floorboard. At the time I ordered them the Black Diamonds were the only ones in stock. I will be returning the pedal extender and move the floorboards back one peg position and try that.Trying to post pictures.
